A3.1.4 Connected thermometer to identifying otitis

Otitest is a connected device, similar in appearance to an ear thermometer. It connects to mobile applications and aims to increase the functionality of typical household thermometers. The sub-project aims to evolve the prototype (currently in TRL6) based on the evaluation of the results provided by ongoing clinical studies, whose goal is to assess body temperature and the color of the tympanic membrane, detecting Otitis at an early stage. The objective is to develop the final product to be marketed, including the clinical validation process and obtaining certification as a class 2a medical device (FDA completed and CE mark in progress).
