A3.2.2 Orthopedic device for treating lymphedema

The sub-project aim is to develop a textile-based orthopaedical device that is portable, adjustable to the lower and upper limbs, and can be used autonomously to support the treatment of lymphedema, whether caused by primary causes (congenital problems in the lymphatic vessels) or secondary causes (e.g. trauma, injuries, cancer). Of particular note is the differentiated integration of sensing and actuating systems, compression for lymphatic drainage, and a mobile application for monitoring the actuated limb.
