A5.3.8 Automatic post-processing of cardiac magnetic resonance images
Development of artificial intelligence algorithms for the automatic processing of cardiac magnetic resonance images. The aim is to extend the functionalities of this product to include all the sequences that make up this examination to include:
a) a complete and automatic quantification, namely the segmentation of cardiac cavities in different CMR sequences; computation of volumes, areas and thickness of Cine sequences; estimation of the location and extent of fibrosis and perfusion defects, flow measurements and others;
b) an automatic interpretation of the exam, suggesting a diagnosis based on the information collected; and
c) in a more innovative way, to use the information from the images to predict the prognosis and risk of cardiovascular events, opening the door to a more personalized and preventive medicine.
